Student Registration Opportunities for ICNS
The Local Organising Committee for ICNS 2025 are delighted to announce that we have secured funding which enables us to offer a dramatically reduced registration fee for some PhD students who wish to attend the conference.
International PhD Students
The Novo Nordisk Foundation has provided funding that will enable 40 students to access the ICNS 2025 conference for a reduced fee of €60 per student (basic+). This applies to all PhD students, with the exception of those affiliated to institutes in Nordic countries who are covered by a Nordic model.
To apply, you need to provide a motivation letter of no more than 1 page of A4, accompanied by a proof of enrolment in a PhD programme or statement of support from the thesis supervisor, by email to
Nordic PhD Students
Nordic Neutron Scattering Programme (NNSP, funded by Nordforsk) has providing funding that will enable 67 students to access the ICNS 2025 conference with a waived conference fee. This applies only to students (undergraduate, Master’s and PhD) from Nordic countries (Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, Faroes Islands, Greenland and Åland).
To apply, you must be listed as an author on a conference abstract submitted with an affiliation toa Nordic institution. This will activate a tick box on the registration form, which, when selected will waive the conference fee.
Post-doctoral Researchers
Further funders are being approached to enable reduced registration fees for post-doctoral researchers who are included as authors on submitted abstracts. Please check back regularly for more information.
